apt-proxy errors...

HI
I am using Ubuntu 5.10 and installed apt-proxy.  Configured its .conf to
use backends  

[ubuntu]
;; Ubuntu archive
backends = http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu

[ubuntu-security]
;; Ubuntu security updates
backends = http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu

and disabled all other backends.

Now whenever I run 

apt-proxy-import -i ./debs 

it returns errors:

 # apt-proxy-import -i ./debs/

no suitable backend found
close failed: [Errno 11] Resource temporarily unavailable


Even if I import from /var/cache/apt/archieve it returns same error 'no
suitable backend found'


I could not understand the reason.  Please help !!!
