Let me get this strait... you're on the Ubuntu Forum lecturing someone 
about how they should not be installing Linux!?!?!  How do you see that 
as being helpful!?!?

Sheesh...

Back to the issue, what is the exact error you get?  Have you tried 
running the install with DMA off?
