Oh, I see. Personally I would consider this a rather special need, and
think powernowd fits Ubuntu well. But for more detailed control, you
might want to remove powernowd, and look into cpudyn, cpufreqd,
cpufrequtils, cpufreqd, and cpufrequtils.
Sore, configuration is not per GUI.
