Disabling ipv6 is sweems to be quite common for a number of ISP's and
there is information on that in the documentation - my ISP is f2s,
with a Dlink router connected by cable (the wireless connection is
something else which worked with hoary but not with breezy!)

I have put up messages about the problem I am having with synaptic and
my email programme on the forum and IRC channel on a number of
occasions and not got any repsonse. The error messages are basically
being timed out for all the repostiories and when evolution tries to
connect to my email server. Connection to the internet with firefox
was a problem until I disbaled ipv6 but is now ok.
