Whilst stating these problems is a good way of venting your annoyance,
without including some of the actual error messages you get, there isn't
a great deal we can do to diagnose these issues, let alone solve them.
Mind you if the internet works on Ubuntu only and not on any other
distro, there is something very VERY odd going on. Same with needing to
disable ipv6. Who is your ISP? What sort of internet connection do you
have? What kind of modem/router hardware?
