Kismet and GPSDrive

I am wanting to install Kismet and GPSDrive on my laptop.  I know that
I need to install Kismet by hand, but is there a prebuilt package for
GPSDrive?  I found a package for Debian which I believe Ubuntu is
built on top of.

Has anyone installed these utilities?  Did you have to do anything
special to install them?  Are there any "Gotchas" that I should be
aware of?
