its been working well for me on powerpc. with mail boxes that have been moved from kmail in yellowdog, to mail.app in mac os x, to thunderbird in mac os x, to thunderbird on ubuntu ppc. i have thousands of messages, and a few high volume mailing lists. only using the offline plug (if it is still a plugin (not sure)).

so, works for me

are the messages still in .mozilla-thunderbird/ ?
