upgrade problems

Trying to upgrade Synaptic and this is what Synaptic tells me. I have
all the regular rep[ositories in the sources list plus the backport
mirror.

Any solutions ?




synaptic:
 Depends: libapt-pkg-libc6.3-5-3.9  but it is not installable
  Depends: libatk1.0-0 (>=1.9.0) but 1.8.0-1ubuntu2 is to be installed
  Depends: libglade2-0 (>=1:2.5.1) but 1:2.4.0-1 is to be installed
  Depends: libgtk2.0-0 (>=2.6.0) but 2.4.10-1ubuntu1.1 is to be
installed   
Depends: libpango1.0-0 (>=1.8.1) but 1.6.0b-0ubuntu1 is to
be installed  
Depends: libvte4 (>=1:0.11.12) but 1:0.11.11-4 is to be
installed  
Depends: libxml2 (>=2.6.17) but 2.6.11-3ubuntu1.1 is to be
installed
