Hi to all , this is my 1st post. I've just installed and configure Ubuntu 5.04 on my mom's machine. My little tip, is configure sound service with: $ gstreamer-properties Select, alsa for both audio "Default Sink" and "Default Source", then enjoy. Hardware is: Motherboard Asrock K7S41GX with on board SiS7012 audio controller. bye. -- cacao74
