X server error on startup

Hello all, i updated my system to the breezy badger a couple of days ago.

I had not restarted my computer though. After i decided to restart, i 
found out my x server would not start, and when i got an error message 
about viewing the X log (a y or n screen) my system would hang.

Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this? Should i try 
reinstalling the xserver from "safe mode"?
