SFTP is very good if you have authenticated users (ones with usernames).
It's pretty much essential for security these days if the sessions go
unencrypted over something like the Internet.

It doesn't buy the Original Poster anything if he just wants anonymous
(no password) FTP (he didn't say whether he did or not). It's not suited
to that role.
