Ubuntu compatibility with Debian?

But none of the others has 'apt-src'.  It's hard to beat.

For package building, you should also install and use 'fakeroot'.  Never
build source as 'root', just in case there's a mistake in a Makefile or
script...  Usage:

 man fakeroot

 fakeroot debian/rules binary
