cannot read/print japanese pdf files

Same here, though, I don't have a printer.  So from "xpdf" I choose to
print to a PostScript file.  The resulting PostScript file was filled
with weird characters (just like when displaying the file with "xpdf"
before installing "xpdf-japanese").

Sorry, I don't have a solution.
