I'm in the middle of installing XP under qemu. Here's where
I'm writing down my successes and failures:

Right now I'm at the "Installing Devices" stage, and things
seem to be moving along -- if maybe slowly. I'll be able to
answer Russell's question better (or ... at all :->) after
this stage is over.
