I don't know if the whole system freezes, I can't login using ssh
because the computer is not connected to any other, it's my personal
computer at home. The whole system is freezed, I can't use neither
keyboard, nor mouse, etc... But, for example, TV -Card continues
working. I can't kill gdm because I can't login the computer.

My graphic card is NVidia TNT4 64Megas. Chipset is Via, and graphics is
connected via PCI.

The driver I'm using is 'nvidia' with 1024x768x24 resolution. My
computer is AMD XP.

Maybe the problem is just the graphic card, but it's really amazing it
only happens with firefox. I've also noticed, if I launch 'gdm' I can't
see the console using CTRL+ALT+F1, so, when I came back to the system
console, my screen is black and I can't login.

I'm using frame buffer with 1024x768 (vga=792).

Something strange is that if I don't launch 'gdm', system boots without
any problem and I don't have any problem to login in console way. But as
soon as I launch 'gdm', screen's refresh (Otra manera de decir
refresco????) changes and I can't go back to the console.
