I thought this issue was already pretty well covered. There have been 
enough Mac systems on desktops for long enough that the real problem has 
been long established. Windows is the problem. Don't forget, Macs are 
marketed to non-geek users and always have been. These are people who 
don't understand complex security issues. Despite this, there are hardly 
any significant Mac virii, even after OS X, which has enough computer 
power to do pretty much anything you would want to do.

I run OSX boxen open to the internet without virus issues. That's because 
they are Unix, not WinXX. Windows is the security problem, and seems to be 
even if there are firewalls, much less the dubiously useful anti-virus 
products.
