Firefox instability in Hoary

Hi,

I have a .tar.gz version of Firefox 1.0.1 extracted to a local folder 
and it runs on hoary without any problems.

With the "official" Ubuntu-version(using the same profile) I am also 
having all kinds of problems. Pop-up-blocking does not work properly, 
for example.
