No sound when playing .wmv files

Hi,
I've been having sound problems myself, so I've been following the
thread and downloaded the file. When I tried to open it in Nautilus by
double-clicking on it, it reported that it indicates a "Microsoft WMV
video" but the contents indicate it might be "Microsoft ASF video" and
to change the extension. I changed it to .asf and it wouldn't work.
Don't take to much stock in the error I got since I'm having my own
problems...
