Tab,

You need to take at least one extra step for verification.  It may be
that you have downloading problems, for instance, or there is a
problem with the site you went to.

1.  Check the MD5 sum of the download - make sure you download the
calculated MD5SUM file and that you run a program to calculate it (if
you are running Windows, do a Google search on "windows md5" and you
will see at least four freeware programs for doing this).

If you report back that the sums match exactly, and where you
downloaded it from, we can help you follow up.

I mention this because I had a problem a year or so ago of the same
type.  It turns out that my browser thought ISO files were text, so it
was doing some conversion that ruined the file.
