No sound when playing .wmv files

Can someone send a link to one of these files so I can try on my system.
Glad I only made the wiki article about adding the codecs and not
making playback work :)
Let's hope a collective effort can find a path to resolving this for you folks.
Mine plays whether set to ESD, OSS, or ALSA (my usual).
