Warty : reinstalling, quick question...

you can easily achieve that.
during install, you specify manual partioning,
and play with enter and the four arrow keys :-)
the interface is like a pc-game: a riddle
that you understand after playing it 12 times.
it will present an overview of the changes before doing anything.
there will be exciting little symbols like a loughing sun
in black or in white, a thunderbolt, etc
and they will all talk to you in the coded charm of
advanced unix command line graphics :-)
