-  Back-up everything first.
-  Yes you can dual boot with WinXP that resides in an NTFS
  partition
-  But some people have smooth sailing and no problem, but some have
  had many problems. I guess it really depends on how old is your BIOS
  and was the partition set up properly (some re-partitioning software
  mess up partition geometry and information)
