Two modems on one line????

OK, it looks like you modems' phone sockets are not doing what you want
- so ignore them.

Get a telephone double-socket device, and plug moth modems into that,
and the double-socket into your wall socket. Much joy should follow.

(The telephone double-socket is not a computer device, it will be sold
my anyone that sells telephones)
