To eliminate the constant of requests to 'leave the computer on Windows' from
other family members when I leave for work, I'm moving my Ubuntu install to
it's own box. Since I already have some spare parts from upgrading this one
(Sound card, video card, DVD burner), I'm looking to go ahead and build my
own.
I wanted get some feedback on my choice of mobo, CPU, and hard drives before I
go ahead with the purchases.
Motherboard: Abit NF7-S v2
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (may overclock to 3200)
Hard drives: Maxtor Ultra 200GB SATA (x2 :))
The hard drive brand and/or capacity may change, but I plan on going with SATA
drives in any case.
