No bother at all (happy to get responses), but yes Alsa (and I assume)
OSS work for the other users, but then the user gets scary errors if
they try to launch two apps that use sound. I haven't tried tweaking
around iwth dmix, so I'm sure I can work around this somehow. What I'm
basically trying to find out is if I *need* to do this because that
problem with polypaudio is going to exist in the released version of
Hoary (because it's too hard to fix, or because they're past feature
freeze, whatever).
