This is a dirty workaround, but might help.
It is possable to hook some script up that runs when gdm loads. I used
it long time ago when some processes dident die as expected on logout
and messed up later sessions. You shuld be able to clean up tmp ther.
I unfortunatly don't remember any details, it was a long time ago. And I
dont realy know polypaudio, so I cant tell exactly what need to be done.
A quick look at /etc/gdm/ on the debian system I'm curently att give the
impression that gdm use run-parts like functionality. So it shuld be
possable to add a workaround cleanly, whithout messing up the script
provided by ubunty.
