Google for 'ubuntu alien'.  That said, you'd only do that as a last
resort as it can be tricky.  Much better to see if you can find it
using the Synaptic package manager. (apt-get). You may have to enable
some more repositories in Synaptic, the basic set only shows
applications that are tested/approved on Ubuntu.  (Google for 'Ubuntu
add repository')

What application is it?  Much better to go get an Ubuntu (or Debian
even) version.

I never managed to get the OpenOffice 2.0 installed from rpms. :-(
