having problems putting down the lid of laptop (Amilo M1425)??

Hello

I was having problems putting down the lid of my laptop. The ubuntu
tries to do something that freeze the system. After that the ubuntu
could not restart the  system staying freezed. 

My knowledge was not that good to know what was the problem but in a
installation party someone resolve this problem.

Apparently the problem was in the script /etc/acpi/events/lidbtn
# /etc/acpi/events/lidbtn
# Called when the user closes or opens the lid

event=button[ /]lid
action=/etc/acpi/lid.sh

The action was freezing the system. I comment the line and now I can
pull down the lib without any problems.

Any one has this kind of problems too? Tried any other solution?

how can I debug the /etc/acpi/lid.sh file?
