How can I get ALSA and JACK working

Running the jack daemon as root will require you to run jack clients as
root as well. Unless you absolutely MUST have realtime privileges, try
executing the jack daemon as a normal user. You can do such from within
qjackctl as a normal user.

xruns are expected on integrated sound chipsets.
