Checking/managing /var/mail with either evolution or something similar

One way is to create a local mail account in Evolution. Add an account
and when it asks you what type of account, specify Unix mbox spool (I'm
not sure of the exact wording used) and specify the path of
your /var/mail/<usrname> file, and you will then see your local mail in
Evolution and be able to manipulate it with a GUI.
