Problems with locales

Hello Everyone,

Whenever i run any KDE app, i get the following error:Qt: Locales not
supported on X server
And for GNOME apps i get : Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by Xlib,
locale set to C

xmms does not work at all and some apps are unstable (notably, synaptic)
What should i do? i have localepurge installed..
