Ubuntu Hoary Hardware Requirements?

My mother likes to only use Firefox, Thunderbird and OpenOffice.

I was asking because I tried the Live CD, and it was running 
ridiculously slow. It was taking more that 5 Minutes just to load Firefox.

Maybe this is because 128 MB is too low for the Live CD. Would would it 
be different for the real install?
