Ubuntu won't be much with 128MB, adding an extra 256MB will breathe life
into it, for sure. A used 128MB sitck of that age must cost peanuts, so
it's not worth cutting corners. If you can put more than 256MB on your
motherboard, do it. The more RAM the better ! :-)
I started with 256, was fine, until I started using P2P programs. I
upgraded to 512MB and P2P was fine. Then I installed X-Plane, system
would seriously swap. Upped the RAM once more, to 768MB, and now X-Plane
is happy. The more the merrier ! ;o)
Sure enough, when I get to renewing my motherboard/system, I will spend
money on RAM rather than fancy bleeding edge processors...
