I had the same problem. I installed the AMD64 version of ubuntu,
installed ndiswrapper from source because none of the ubuntu packages
supported it... For some odd reason, I guess you can't use 32-bit
drivers on a 64-bit kernel. I didn't bother looking for a solution, so
I just installed (32-bit) Ubuntu 5.04 Hoary, and I have it running
perfectly with wpa_supplicant and all.
Maybe when Microshaft releases their 64-bit OS, they'll have 64-bit
drivers for the wireless device.
Also, I was thinking maybe there is a 32-bit flag you can specify when
compiling ndiswrapper, but I'm too lazy right now to go look for it.
