Hoary CD's DHCP didn't work

A week ago I tried installing Hoary on my new Eurocom laptop. When it
came to setting up DHCP, it kept timing out. So I just installed what
ever was on the CD. I have tested the network interface and got it
talking to my other boxes using static ips. I'd like to try setting up
DHCP again, can some one tell me what script is used for setting up
DHCP? Also how can one change the timeout on it?
