Hello Bjorn, welcome to the wonderful and exciting world of Ubuntu ! :o)

Ahhh, indeed. Same here. I liked learning and playing with my first
machine, a Bull Micral 30, then later with 486 SX 33 and MS-DOS 6, but
after that, it's been 10 years of frustrating, boring and ugly windows
hell. When I discovered Linux recently, and particularly Ubuntu 9
months ago, all of a sudden, computing had become exciting, fun and
interesting, a pleasure. It's really like night and day compared to
Windows. No matter what rough edges (immaturity, bugs, lack of
development here and there) I have to live with every day, I still
prefer my Ubuntu zillion times more than Win XP. Sometimes when my
penguin really drives me mad, I start Windows XP, and it only takes 2 or
3 minutes before I say to myself "oh boy, I had forgotten how much I
hate XP, I will reboot right now, and beg my penguin, let's hope he will
forgive me for shouting him 5 minutes ago..."
I just love Ubuntu. I have been using it for only 9 month, yet it feels
like I have been using it all my life, it just feels "right".
