Mounting partitions, bizare question...

Yeah, I got lazy and did just in the end. It doesn't hide the 'hda5'
icon from the Places list, though (I could hide it, but then I am not
sure if USB storge devices would still show up...).

Yep, it's even easier in Breezy, Nautilus has been improved. Now you no
longer need to open an app in order to get to the "open" dialog and
set/delete Places from there, which is kinda absurd isn't it. Now you
can just start Nautilus (either Spatial or Browser mode), and just click
on Places->Add Bookmark. You also have an option to "Edit Bookmarks",
that lets you delete 'Places' that you don't want to see anymore.
