Replacing postfix with something lighter

If you do an apt-cache showpkg ubuntu-base, it looks like
nothing depends on it. I wouldn't be surprised if you could
uninstall it, install esmtp, then reinstall ubuntu-base. I'm
not sure, but it might be worth trying.
