Gnome-panel ERROR

OK,
	This morning I went into System -> Preferences -> Sessions and found 2
entries for Gnome-panel. So I deleted the one that looked more recent,
and voila! the error has disappeared.

Nonetheless, another problem has sprouted, which I'll mention under
another heading...
