if you want something simple, possibly to use only for yourself,  then you can 
use something like TiddlyWiki (http://www.tiddlywiki.com/);  you don't need to 
install any application or server to use it:  the whole wiki fits in one 
single html document that could be a file on your computer (i.,e no need to 
have a web server), or hosted on the web server of your ISP.
