A wiki is a software package that runs in a web server. Subscribers to
the wiki can modify the contents. A perfect example is the Ubuntu
Wiki, based on something named MoinMoin
(http://moinmoin.wikiwikiweb.de/). Moin is German slang.

There are many varieties of wikis.
