xvid problem

Hello,

I'm trying to rip a DVD with acidrip, since dvd::rip depends on the
uninstallable transcode.

I've left all of the options at their default, except for setting the
codec to xvid. When I click Start, I'm told "Mencoder exited with an
error code 139." Does anyone have an idea what's going wrong, and how
I might fix it? Some googling hasn't gotten me any luck trying to
decipher the error.
