What kernel are you currently running? Is it a prepackaged kernel or a
custom compiled one?


I have the same RAID card and although it's not running on a Linux
server anymore, I do know that you need the megaraid2 driver for it, not
the alternate driver megaraid. 


What does lsmod tell you?
