Broked packages????

Hi,

I guess this was already discussed but it seems extrange that searching
for DVD rip I receive this:

dvdrip:
 Depends: transcode (>=2:0.6.14) but it is not installable

I search for transcode and it doesn't appear in the list. Instead I found:

gtranscode:
 Depends: transcode  but it is not installable

That is not installable because transcode doesn't exist in Ubuntu!!!!

Is Ubuntu so broke? I understand this comes from Debian, I used Sid for
a couple of years and there this kind of problems were resolved in a few
days, here I'm waiting for a fix for months!!!!!!!!!!

If you know how to report this kind of things or how to solve I'll be
very happy. Thanks in advance.

I have all repositories in my sources.list, uviverse, multiuniverse,
he-man repositories everything.....
