the best time to time to teach kids linux was yesterday

Both of my daughters use Linux ages 10 and 5.  



KDE offers many edcuational programs bundeled directly with KDE
(examples KLetters, KMessedWords,PotatoGuy) and countless others. Kids
learn windows because their Parents and the Educators know Windows and
nothing else. So not only the childern but the adults need to be
educated in the benefits of using an OpenSource Platform. Cost savings
etc.. 



Once that happens then we will see a lot more of Linux Systems in our
schools and in many homes.



For a footnote:

My daughters use Linux at home and Windows in school. So they know
both.
