i love the idea of the debian jr project which leads me to ask, how can
we make ubuntu, not only kid friendly since we already had a very
interesting thread on adult content, made JUST for kids. i am planning
to buy a cheap celeron laptop for my 4 year old daughter.
windwz has countless of commercial as well as free stuff for kids
(puzzles, encyclopedia, EDUCATIONAL games, etc.) which i really like.
now before i decide in closing my eyes and jump to windwzzzzz and pray
she get to learn anything from that OS, can i give her a Linux machine
with me and my wife as her admin of of course? okay we have Tux Paint,
whats next? commercial or open source ideas will do.
if ubuntu targets schools, why not start from pre-school.
