I am still stopping at a login prompt and not going into X.

I went through dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

I checked and made sure there were no fglrx-kernel-2.x.xx, xorg-driver-fglrx
files.

I followed the instructions at
http://www.ubuntuguide.org/#installnvidiadriver

startx says -bash: x: command not found

Thanks for all the help.
Anything else I can try?

Bradley
