You didn't use eth0 yet, so there isn't one in interfaces (this file is
handeld, on Ubuntu, by network-admin). There is only one listing of
ath0. One tells to handle ath0 by hotplug, one with informations about
your wifi network, and, third, auto ath0 wich loads ath0 upon booting.

Yes, only that and you will be fine. You could've done that with GUI,
but this way is much faster :)
