Thanks for the help.
I pulled up my /etc/network/interfaces and here is what I found.
> # This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
> # and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).
> # The loopback network interface
> auto lo
> iface lo inet loopback
> # This is a list of hotpluggable network interfaces.
> # They will be activated automatically by the hotplug subsystem.
> mapping hotplug
> script grep
> map ath0
> iface ath0 inet dhcp
> wireless-essid monkey
> wireless-key XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
> auto ath0
I was surprised not to see eth0 listed for my ethernet adapter, but it
does list in lspci, so the hardware is being started. Why are there two
listings from my ath0?
I am going to try commenting out the auto ath0 and see how that works.
I do have to say that ubuntu has been my favorite distro since I
started playing with linux & I am looking forward to breezy,
Thanks for the help!
