Breezy Kernel powers off system during boot

Hi all!

I just tried my breey-partition, and found out that when booting
linux-kernel-2.6.12-3-686, my system powers off somewhere between
"starting hotplug" (when I do a normal boot) and a few lines later (when I
say "acpi=off" to the kernel).

My System is a Centrino ICH4-based System, which works fine (minus
suspend) in warty/hoary. Also, using breezy with the hoary-kernel works.

The other thing is that I have to use the "vesa" xorg-driver, because X
doesn't start with "i810" (It just says "signal 11", no EE lines in the
log).

I skimmed the lists about that, but haven't found similar reports.
